Nurses at UCSF Hellen Diller Medical Center at Parnassus Heights will hold a rally on Tuesday, Dec. 3 to speak out about serious security concerns and demand that the University of California (UC) continue making improvements to comply with the Cal/OSHA Workplace Violence Prevention in Healthcare Standard (S.B. 1299), announced California Nurses Association (CNA).

Nurses at UC Davis Medical Center (UCDMC) will hold a rally on Tuesday, Dec. 3 to speak out about serious security concerns and demand that the University of California (UC) continue making improvements to comply with the Cal/OSHA Workplace Violence Prevention in Healthcare Standard, announced California Nurses Association (CNA).

Registered nurses at University of Chicago Medical Center (UCMC) voted overwhelmingly this evening to ratify a four-year contract that addresses patient safety concerns, provides additional security measures, and promotes the recruitment and retention of experienced nurses, announced National Nurses Organizing Committee/National Nurses United (NNOC/NNU).

After negotiating throughout the night, registered nurses reached a tentative agreement with the University of Chicago Medical Center early this morning, announced National Nurses Organizing Committee/National Nurses United. The nurses have called off their one-day strike originally scheduled for November 26. The nurses are scheduled to vote on the tentative agreement on Tuesday.

The nurses are pleased to see the issues successfully resolved and will release further details on the agreement following ratification.
