Nurses to Hold Informational Picket at Keck Hospital of USC/USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center

There is no economic rationale for Maryland hospitals to sue so many of their patients. The impact of medical debt lawsuits on patients is incredibly damaging and likely deters low-income Marylanders from seeking medical care. The General Assembly must pass legislation to protect patients by better regulating when lawsuits can be pursued as well as increasing hospitals’ obligations to provide financial assistance for care.
