“We’re fighting for patient safety, we’re fighting against unsafe staffing. We believe patients deserve better.  I’m inspired by my colleagues who are willing to step up and take on the Sutter Health corporation in the name of safe patient care,” said Jennifer Barker Tilly, an emergency room RN, one of 1,000 RNs represented by CNA at Sutter Roseville.

Through the Registered Nurse Response Network (RNRN), NNU is reaching out to support affected communities, and the local caregivers who are on the front lines of disaster response. Please help send nurses to provide medical treatment for disaster victims by DONATING, VOLUNTEERING, and sharing information about the RN Response Network with friends and family.

Keith Ellison is that progressive.

Sutter nurses strike for seven days starting May 17, 2013 at 7:00 a.m. The walkout is in response to demands by Sutter corporate officials for sweeping reductions in patient care protections and nurses’ contract standards at these hospitals. The strike will involve about 3,300 RNs as well as several hundred respiratory, X-ray, and other technicians.
