St. Joseph Health nurses to hold rally for patient safety

RNs from St. Joseph Health in Brazos Valley, Texas, will hold a rally on Thursday, Feb. 19, as they prepare for upcoming negotiations for their first contract since forming a union last December. Nurses say safe staffing, workplace safety, and a strong voice for bedside nurses will be their top priorities as they start negotiations.

Organizers held a "mock duel" outside the office, a reference a controversy last week during which Farenthold, on the 1440 Keys radio show, singled out "some female senators from the Northeast" as part of the reason the Senate had not done away with and replaced the Affordable Care Act.
