Statement from National Nurses United President Zenei Cortez, RN: New Bill Introduced by Speaker Pelosi Fails to Address Underlying Needs for Providing Comprehensive Health Care
Washington--In response to Speaker Pelosi’s supposed new “sweeping” health care legislation unveiled today, National Nurses United President Zenei Cortez, RN issued the following strongly-worded statement:
NNU Statement on 2020 Election Process
The 2020 election will be among the most important elections in recent U.S. history. National Nurses United expects to be actively involved, with an emphasis on continuing to build a broad mass movement on critical issues, such as Medicare for All.
As to an endorsement in the Presidential contest, NNU’s elected national leadership, representing 150,000 registered nurses in all 50 states, has set forth a comprehensive process that is intended to emphasize extensive involvement of our leadership and NNU members.

RN Volunteers Return to Tucson to Provide Critical Medical Aid to Migrants and Asylum Seekers
Nurse volunteers from the Registered Nurse Response Network (RNRN)—a disaster-relief project of the California Nurses Foundation (CNF) and National Nurses United (NNU)—are back on the ground this weekend in Tucson to provide medical care for migrants and asylum seekers. RNRN/NNU has been sending teams of volunteer nurses to the Tuscon area since February.
