Nurses and Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLSs) held an informational picket this morning at Calais Regional Hospital (CRH) in Calais, Maine. They were joined by members of the CRH technical unit (who just voted to join Maine State Nurses Association (MSNA)/National Nurses Organizing Committee (NNOC) this past Friday) and also members of the United Steelworkers Union, Firemen and Oilers, and the Maine State Educational Association, announced MSNA.

Johns Hopkins Nurses for Improved Patient Care

Two dozen members of the Coalition for a Humane Hopkins marched on the office of Redonda Miller, the president of Johns Hopkins Hospital, this morning to deliver a demand letter and petitions. The letter and petitions, signed by more than 1,000 people, demand that the nonprofit medical institution immediately suspend the filing of new medical debt lawsuits and drop current lawsuits against Johns Hopkins Hospital patients.
