CHS and QHC Nurses Will be Heard

EyeOnCHS.org / QHCwatch.org is a whistle-blower website by the National Nurses United (NNU), the National Nurses Organizing Committee (NNOC), and the California Nurses Association (CNA) in response to consistent reports from CHS and QHC nurses of unsafe working conditions. We are 150,000 RNs strong.

Brenda Meadwell, RN, OB Bluefield Regional Medical Center: "Bluefield, West Virginia is a small town; the community is like my family and my family deserves the best. I expect CHS to deliver no less. Only by collectively bargaining, can nurses at BRMC effectively advocate for our patients. Together we can build the power to make CHS provide our hospital with the staff, equipment, and resources that we need to provide our patients with the safe, effective, therapeutic care they deserve."

Ann Pulley, RN, Endo Affinity Medical Center, Massillon, OH: " I remember going from unit to unit looking for a pulse ox and an extra large blood pressure cuff and not finding them. That's what made me think what a union could do for my patients. I also remember the day I came out to the hall and heard we won! I think if we had a re-vote now the scales would be tipped even further. There's a lot more nurses who see how important it is that we have collective bargaining and that we become united."
