NNU demands House stand up for workers and call a vote on the Protect America’s Workforce Act

National Nurses United, the nation's largest union of registered nurses, provided this statement as the Protect America’s Workforce Act discharge petition reached an important milestone, with 218 congressional signatures in the U.S. House of Representatives, allowing it to move quickly to a vote on the House floor:

RNs across the United States are actively working with CNA/NNU to win their own mandated direct-care RN-to-patient staffing ratios. RNs in other countries have also been fighting to win RN-to-patient staffing ratios to improve conditions for their patients.
