University of California, San Francisco Medical Center Nurses and University of California Unions to Hold a Press Conference to Demand Protections When Treating Patients With COVID-19

San Francisco, CA – To protest the lack of personal protective equipment (PPE) and demand safe staffing for frontline health care workers during this COVID-19 pandemic, University of California, San Francisco Medical Center Nurses, represented by California Nurses Association/National Nurses United, along with fellow University of California, San Francisco union members are holding an action and media availability during their break at noon, April 17th to describe current conditions and the need for more N95 respirators and other protective gear required to safely treat COVID-19 patients, announced California Nurses Association/National Nurses United, the nation’s largest and fastest-growing nurses’ union representing 150,000 registered nurses across the country.  

WHO: Registered nurses and members of California Nurses Association/ National Nurses United and members of Teamsters 2010, CIR-SEIU, UPTE-CWA, UAW 5810, and other UCSF unions

WHAT: Action and RN media availability to speak out against lack of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other protections for frontline health care workers. 

WHERE: UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay: 1975 4th St, San Francisco, CA 94518 

(Nurses will be speaking in the roundabout at the entrance to the Children’s Hospital Emergency Department. Parking is available on site.) 

WHEN: Friday, April 17 at 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.
