"Fighting to Care" presents the historic, revolutionary story of registered nurses committed to building a union that can take on the corporate hospital industry locally, nationally, and globally. Charting over a century of history of California Nurses Association, the film documents the organizing, collective bargaining, and direct action that spawned National Nurses United, the largest, fastest-growing, and most militant union of registered nurses in the United States. The film's story serves as a critical record of nurses' fights for patients, the nursing profession, and nurses' vision of a healthy society built on care.
