Millions of our patients who rely upon Medicaid for their health and other care — the low-income, pregnant patients, seniors in nursing homes, the disabled, and children — are in major jeopardy. 

The Republican-controlled House of Representatives has now passed a budget bill that would slash over $1 trillion from Medicaid and Medicare. These cuts stand to threaten the 72 million people who rely on Medicaid coverage and the funding of our most vulnerable hospitals in rural and underserved communities. We’re organizing alongside our patients to speak out and take action to protect our vital public health agencies before it’s too late!

I urge you to vote no on the final budget reconciliation bill if it includes any cuts to Medicaid.

Join nurses and allies across the country in a virtual phone bank to call voters in the states of key Senators, to tell them about this upcoming budget vote in the Senate and help them make a call to their Senator's office.

No experience is necessary—we will provide a brief training, scripts, and all the tools you need to have great conversations! All you need is a computer, a fully charged phone, and headphones (optional). The phone bank should last approximately two hours.
