St. Rose Hospital nurses plan informational picket to demand fair contract

Nurses at St. Rose Hospital in Hayward, Calif., will hold an informational picket to demonstrate mounting opposition among staff and community to stalling in contract negotiations with Alameda Health System. Nurses and patients are particularly outraged about St. Rose management attempting to sub-contract out of the fifth floor at the hospital to Stanford Medicine, potentially creating two tiers of health care for patients in Hayward.
