#BernieBus to Visit Las Vegas Nurses Thursday

Nurses’ Tour in Support of Bernie Sanders for President Continues

National Nurses United’s #BernieBus campaign tour continues in Las Vegas Thursday with two stops to visit registered nurses outside MountainView hospital, and other iconic locals around the city in the afternoon.

Where to meet the #BernieBus Wednesday, January 13
6 a.m. to 8 a.m., and 12 noon to 2 p.m.
MountainView Hospital, 3100 N, Tenaya Way, Las Vegas

On Wednesday, nurses and the #BernieBus stopped outside the Nevada Southern Detention Center in Pahrump to highlight Sanders’ call to ban prisons for profit, a center piece of Sanders’ plan for criminal justice reform, which Sanders says, “result in an over-incentive to arrest, jail and detain in order to keep prison beds full.”

Nurses also paid a visit to a meeting of the Southern Nevada Central Labor Council in Henderson. One of the goals of the #BernieBus tour is to emphasize to union members and workers how the Sanders campaign has set critical priorities of how to achieve good paying jobs, healthcare for all, raising the minimum wage, protecting union rights, expanding Social Security, and other critical issues facing working people.

At MountainView Hospital, the #BernieBus will continue a central tour program of meeting with other nurses to encourage them to register to vote and pledge to support Sanders in the February 20 Nevada caucuses.

After Nevada, the #BernieBus will head east, with stops in Denver and Kansas City on route to Iowa for the February 1 Iowa caucuses before returning to Nevada for the February 20 caucuses.
