Michigan's Auto No-Fault law is one of the best reasons to live in Michigan because it means that auto accident victims are guaranteed to receive the medical care that they need. Having No-Fault insurance means that if you are in a catastrophic car accident, your medical needs will be covered no matter what you require. HB 4936 will allow people to have minimums as low as $250,000. Every nurse knows that $250,000 does not even begin to cover the high costs associated with surviving a devastating auto accident. Victims will have to sue the individual driving the other car in order to get the balance of the costs of their medical needs. The cost burden will shift to the government as people are forced to turn to Medicaid to pay for the treatment and care they need.
